Kennedy’s first poster released ahead of its Cannes 2023 premiere, directed by Anurag Kashyap

The first poster of Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming police noir film Kennedy has been revealed and it promises a dark and intense cinematic experience. The poster features a masked Rahul Bhat standing menacingly on a moonlit night, while a terror-struck Sunny Leone completes the foreground. Kennedy is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Zee Studios and Good Bad Films shared the poster on Instagram on Monday, announcing that Kennedy is set to premiere at the prestigious festival next month. Anurag Kashyap has established himself as a filmmaker known for his experimental films across diverse genres, and Kennedy is no exception. The noir film will be Anurag’s fourth film after Gangs of Wasseypur, Ugly, and Raman Raghav 2.0 to be screened at Cannes.

The movie follows the story of an insomniac ex-cop played by Rahul Bhat, who is long thought to be dead. Anurag Kashyap has also penned the screenplay for Kennedy, which promises to be a gripping cinematic experience. Kennedy is Anurag’s first release after Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat, which hit theatres in February this year.

Anurag Kashyap has shared the poster on his Instagram handle, along with two stills of the film’s two leads, introducing them as Kennedy and Charlie. Produced by Zee Studios and Ranjan Singh and Kabir Ahuja of Good Bad Films, Kennedy features music scored by Ashish Narula with Aamir Aziz and Boyblanck.

The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival is set to take place from May 16 to 27, where Kennedy is one of the most anticipated films of the festival.
