Rostec’s United Engine Corporation has developed the first Russian power plant, GTA-8RM, for offshore production platforms. The unit is designed to resist extreme conditions: saltwater, storms, and freezing temperatures. The first units will supply power to the Kamennomysskoye-Sea Arctic ice-resistant platform off the coast of the Yamal Peninsula. The power plant can run on gaseous or liquid fuel.
